MEN DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BUY LADIES! (contributed article)

We Don’t Know What To Buy You Ladies!

Hey Ladies, I’m guy with a great girlfriend. She’s not very fashion concerned, but she’s a cutie and enjoys looking nice. When I say cute, I don’t mean anything crazy. I’m really not into the very dressed up formal look, maybe just a cute summer dress or a nice tank top with some jeans. I like to keep it simple too, but there is a difference between any old t-shirt and the ones she looks really sexy in.

The Search

Summer is near and I recently went to buy her a new swimsuit since she probably wouldn’t do so herself. I suddenly found myself looking at all sorts of different bikinis and a few other warm weather items that I thought she’d look cute in. I think I have pretty good taste, but in the end couldn’t make up my mind and made the mistake of asking her what she thought about a certain item I was looking at online.

We want to buy you a gift, not pay for your selection

So, I asked her what she thought and I got one of those “Yeah, it’s cute” type responses. It clearly wasn’t a bad choice, but wasn’t what she would get herself. I showed her a few of my other choices and got a similar response. I was picking 8 out of 10’s, but not 10 out of 10’s and she’s a sweetheart and wouldn’t want me to spend her money on something she’s uncertain about. Plus, if I got it, she could return it, but again it’s like I’m handing over money for her to go buy something, not giving a gift. In the end, I knew what she would rather have, but lost motivation and my enthusiasm quickly faded away.
Buying someone a gift they might like is exciting, but paying for what they have picked out isn’t quite the same.

Maybe if it was in person

Buying someone a clothing item they’ve chosen isn’t all that enthralling, but this was an online purchase. I think what I need to do is take her to a store and let her try on a few items. Seeing her in an item that makes her look sexy will make me want to see it again. I think seeing it in person would help. Even though it will not be a surprise gift, I’d at least know I loved it versus typing in credit card numbers for a mystery item online. Money doesn’t grow in trees for me. I’m happy to say my lady has sexy appeal, but everything on the Internet looks good when you strap it on a smoking hot model and airbrush any imperfections!

Buying clothing for your man

Ladies, I’m not saying we’re any easier. We’re picky, too, but since we always seem to wear the same thing, maybe you’d like to buy us something different. Of course what you buy us is less comfy than the jeans we’ve had for 3 years or the sweatpants we’ve had for 10. Don’t give up, though, we do like to look good, it just has to feel right. For the most part, we don’t like to sacrifice comfort, so if you get us a gift, try getting us a different color of another item we already have that you love and we’ll be happy too. Returns are the same with us men, if you buy us an item and we return it for something else, you probably won’t be happy with the results!

Resolution

Make a date of it and shop together

It sounds like the conclusion of this debate is that it helps to try on the item first. So, instead of playing the guessing game and ultimately failing, how about you head out together with the mission to buy an item for one another?
You get to laugh at each other, have a little fun, get a little turned on and you’ll end up with purchases you feel good about. I’m not a clothing shopper at all, but I think that sounds just fine every once in a while.

Still want to buy gifts like a millionaire?

Two words. Thrift Store.

I bought my girlfriend two items at the thrift store the other day, she hated one and thought the other was very cute, and they both only cost me $5!
She was happy with me for making the effort, and I was happy to have spent not much money but still get her a gift that will make some appearances!

The Dream Chaser - When Do You Stop?

Ecc 9:4 "Anyone who is among the living has hope- even a live dog is better off than a dead lion."

Published by The Duchesne

Happy Sunday to all my readers, followers and subscribers. It has been a while since I have written and I do apologise. There have been a lot of new happenings and developments since the start of the year. Some planned and others spontaneous. However, I wanted to give a quick update as I felt I may have been letting my followers down. But....in future when I take a hiatus, please understand that I am a very private person and when I am focused on a particular task, I do a disappearing act.

Now to the post. Chasing our dreams and when to give up. This ties into my update as some of you may know, I have moved from England and I am now living in the USA. Quite an eye opener and a very different culture, way of life, approach, outlook etc. In a nutshell, the only commonality between the USA and the UK is the language and even that has it's own differences!

I am excited about being in the US to pursue a life long ambition and all praises to The Creator, good things are happening. No more details will be given on that for now but I promise in time that will all be disclosed.
When I write here, it comes from the heart and I have to be motivated. My motivation today is due to a recent experience I encountered whilst here in the US. In truth, it made me want to pack my bags and head on back home, and hit myself over the head for being so stupid.

Then I remembered,

"there are no mistakes-only lessons"

I have learned a lesson from a very big mistake which obviously was not a mistake just a very big lesson!
Yesterday someone did me TERRIBLY wrong. Initially I was in shock! Almost like pinching myself if this was real. Did this really happen? To me? Smart as I am? lol.......But it did. It's not the first time I have entrusted individuals instead of listening to my gut instinct. I always had that problem. Be it friends, acquaintances, business partners, family, etc.
I always undermined my instinct and always come out the one who got trodded upon.

The hard part in this however is that I have to stay true to who I am - A gentle soul with a gentle spirit. A soul that needs to learn to bark and bite.
But I'm a fighter, always have been. Yes, you can knock me down but it better be a TKO. Why?

Because when I get up, believe me I am up.

So today I  nurse my wounds, take time to heal and come back out tomorrow. Bigger, Better and Badder......for the race is not for the 'swift' but for those who can 'endure' it.

Now for the question in the post 'When do you stop chasing your dream'?  My answer is:

-When it becomes abundantly clear that it is unattainable. Until that time, what am I going to do?

Well......you watch Pinky and The Brain don't you?
